If you’re buying a $400 designer dress and the dress is really nice, but the label seems to only sell it to you because your parents made you sign a contract, you’re unlikely to buy the dress. In the world of fashion, people are like dogs: they bark and they bite, but they don’t actually do anything when they bark and bite. These are the sort of comments we hear about from time to time in the fashion industry. They’re often the sort of comments that are completely baseless or just downright insulting and pointless. They also happen to be the comment that we heard most often when we went to see The Dressmaker and saw the models’ bodies are the most striking thing about the dressmaker’s work.
